Standard Jaw Couplings
Jaw couplings are flexible shaft couplings used to connect two shafts while handling minor misalignments and reducing vibration. They consist of two hubs with interlocking jaws and an elastomeric “spider” that transmits torque and absorbs shocks.
Available in two designs, straight jaw couplings provide a simple, rigid connection, while curved jaw couplings offer greater flexibility, lower backlash, and smoother torque transfer, making them ideal for many industrial applications.
